1. What We Collect
We collect information to help you connect with compatible people. This includes:

• Basic info you provide: name, age, date of birth, gender, pronouns, sexual orientation, who you'd like to meet, and profile details.
• Photos you upload.
• Face check. To confirm your photos are really you, you take a live selfie in the app, and our verification provider, Didit, checks that it is a live photo and compares it with your profile photos. If you change your photos later, we compare the same selfie with your new ones. Your selfie is stored privately, is never shown on your profile or to other members, and only our team can view it, to review a check. We keep it while your account is open and delete it when you delete your account, unless we need it for a safety review. Deleted files are fully erased from our storage about 30 days later.
• Your answers to Vault of Curiozzity questions and profile prompts.
• Voice notes. If you choose to record a voice answer in the Vault of Curiozzity (up to 20 seconds), only the person you were introduced to can play it, and only after they answer that same question themselves. Before it is shared, OpenAI turns it into text so we can check it for things our rules do not allow, such as contact details or threats. We do not keep the text, and a note that fails the check is deleted. We store the recording privately and delete it when the introduction ends or either of you deletes your account. Deleted files are fully erased from our storage about 30 days later.
• Curiouzz Live events. When you check in at a Curiouzz Live event, by door code or by your location, we record that you are in the room and when you leave. Your location is used only to confirm you are at the venue and is not kept. Other guests and your host see only a tile with the first letter of your name, unless you and another guest both choose to reveal yourselves to each other in a coaster. If you use Tell the host, your host, who runs the event for Curiouzz and is never another member, can see your main profile photo so they can find you in the room, and only while the event is open. What you write to your host is kept with our safety records, and if you tell the host about another guest, your host sees that guest's first name.
• Email address for login and account verification, and an optional phone number you can add to your profile.
• Location. With your permission, we collect your device's location (including precise coordinates) to place you in the right city and to consider distance in your compatibility assignments.
• Contacts you choose to avoid. If you use "avoid people you know," the phone numbers of the contacts you select are uploaded so we can exclude those people from your introductions. We never upload your full address book.
• Purchase history: records of your subscriptions and in-app purchases, used to provide and support those features.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app, such as likes, introductions, chats, and settings.
• Crash reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends us a crash report so we can find and fix the problem. A report includes details such as the error, the screen you were on, your phone model, operating system and app version, and your account ID. We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect these reports.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

• Create and manage your Curiouzz account.
• Introduce you to compatible people based on your preferences and answers.
• Display your profile to potential connections (excluding your email, phone number, or any private data).
• Communicate with you about updates, new features, and support.
• Improve the app experience and develop new features.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems

• Curiouzz uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to support and improve certain features of the app, such as onboarding experiences, recommendations, safety and moderation tools, fraud prevention, analytics, and product improvements.
• Personal information processed by these systems is used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. AI systems may analyze user-provided information, usage patterns, and interactions within the app to help operate and enhance the Services.
• We do not use private messages or personal content to train third-party artificial intelligence models in a manner that identifies you, unless otherwise disclosed and permitted by law.
• AI-assisted features support the user experience and do not make final or binding decisions about your relationships, interactions, or outcomes on the platform.

4. Sharing and Disclosure
How we handle sharing:

• We never sell your data to third parties.
• Your profile info is visible to other users, but your private information (such as email and phone number) is never displayed publicly.
• We may share data with service providers for hosting, analytics, or support, but only as needed to operate Curiouzz.
• If required by law, we may disclose your data to comply with legal obligations.

5. Advertising and Measurement
We work with Meta Platforms, Inc. to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how people find Curiouzz.

With your permission, we share a device identifier and limited information about your activity in the app, such as creating an account and completing the Gatekeeper, with Meta. This helps us understand which of our ads brought people to Curiouzz, and helps us open new cities sooner.

On iOS, we ask for this permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt when you first open the app. If you decline, we do not share a device identifier with Meta, and you can continue to use every part of Curiouzz exactly as before. Declining never affects who you are introduced to, your compatibility assignments, or your place in line.

You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Meta's handling of this data is governed by their own policies, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to keep your data safe. Your account is password protected, and sensitive information is encrypted.

7. Your Choices

• You can edit or delete your profile at any time in Settings.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@curiouzz.com.
• You can control notifications and what information you share in your profile.

8. Children's Privacy
Curiouzz is for users age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our app evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes.
